Empreintes de Pied (French for 'Footprints') is our bright neo-Breton holiday home in its own three quarters of an acre plot, in a tranquil setting, situated less than half a mile from the village of GLOMEL, near ROSTRENEN, in Central Brittany.

Close to the house there is a fascinating MENHIR (a large pre-historic standing stone, similar to those at Stonehenge) and a picturesque lake (less than ten minutes walk) with its various water sport activities, children’s play area, climbing wall (safety equipment needed) and a haven for wildlife. The nearby Roman town of Carhaix has a train station which connects to Paris and other destinations.

The House

There are two bedrooms, a bathroom with w.c. and a separate w.c. being positioned between the bedrooms – all are entered from the hallway. On the same floor is the large kitchen/breakfast room & the large lounge /dining room with its small balcony.

Local Area

Glomel village is less than half a mile, where you may meet the locals in one of the café/bars or the pizzeria. There is also a pharmacy & a mini-market providing bread, wine, general provisions & has access to an ATM when the shop is open. The barbers next to the mini-market sells fishing permits for the local lake & Nantes-Brest canal.

Cost and Extras

We have a weekly pricing structure starting from £250. Please remember that you will also need to factor travelling costs into your holiday. We would be more than happy to offer independent advice on various travel options. It may be possible to to obtain a 10% reduction on Brittany Ferries fare prices.
